I like them all equally and have several of each.
Seem to use Axe a little less these days in PvE now I have Whirlwind Attack and "Finish Him!" levelled.
Hammer is lovely for high-end PvE just for Earth Shaker.
Sword is beautiful for AB thanks to Disarm.
I have a question:
Any good Scythe builds?

Yes, actually...
[skill]warrior's endurance[/skill][skill]pious assault[/skill][skill]mystic sweep[/skill][skill]eremite's attack[/skill][skill]protector's strike[/skill][skill]bull's strike[/skill][skill]rending touch[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
... Actually, Crippling Victory is probably better than Protector's, but there's no skill icon thing for it yet.
Or there's the Steady Stance scyther...
[skill]steady stance[/skill][skill]drunken blow[/skill][skill]desperation blow[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]rending sweep[/skill][skill]healing signet[/skill][skill]rending touch[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
That's the old template I had, you might wanna look at something else since "WY!" was nerfed - Steady Stance should probably give enough adrenaline to make "Save Yourselves!" feasable.

Not really, you can go a while with the Warr's natural regen and the 7 energy return of SS - each SS/DB combo amounts to costing 3 energy.
You might want to pull out a zealous scythe if you find yourself needing to push Rendings more than you'd like, but it's ok.

Disarm for general interrupt though. I lose count of the number of Troll Unguents, Heal Sigs and Shadow Refuges I catch... but probably most crucial is that catching a Lightning Hammer on a shrine ele can mean the difference between capping and not.
SBash is lovely sin-hate and I should use it more, but it's a little too specialised, and rather less useful since so many Assassins switched to lame Dancing Dagger/Signet builds anyway.

Thanks. I seem to have several Green scythes lying around that I use for nothing and can't sell. Will give these a go and see if I can get some joy.

Used the warrior's endurance version a bit, then went back to steady stance. Always loved drunken attacks similar to your idea.
been using this recently.
[skill]steady stance[/skill][skill]drunken blow[/skill][skill]desperation blow[/skill][skill]symbolic strike[/skill][skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill][skill]signet of Pious Restraint[/skill][skill]sunspear resurrection signet[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill]
14 tac = 3 adr + 7 nrg = 4 adr and 8 energy on hitting with zealous, charging symbolic immediately with enough energy to use eremites for simulated ias.

I think the sword is better because it owns with elite skills like hundred blades and its way better use then axes. swords cause bleeding dps so axes go in for just brutal assaults

Fix'd.
Paladin, Hundred Blades is really bad. One look at [skill=text]Sun and Moon Slash[/skill] says so.

KD is quite limited in PvE because of enemies that are just immune to it.
Bad design, imo.

I've noticed that with some enemies that can't be knocked down, they still get interrupted and even in areas with tons of enemies that can't be KD, the majority of the enemies there can. That said, I'm sure my D Slash build is doing a Lot more dmg and knocks down enemies more often than with a hammer build. So, I'm probably agreeing with you about hammer's lack of usefulness compared to sword and axe in PVE, but disagreeing with you about KD's usefulness in PVE, especially the amount of KD that you get with Brawling Headbutt.

I really find that Hammers have little use in PvE. The damage just isn't as big as axes/swords when you add up the swing time and skills.
Knockdowns really work best in PvP, in PvE mostly your not going to get much benifit from a knockdown, ie no co-ordinated spikes. A hammer war can knock a foe down for 3 seconds, but a sword/axe war will take out 50%+ of his life points in that same amount of time.

QFT. That's exactly what we run in FoW and Ancestors Rage also, and mobs just blow up.
I almost always run Earth Shaker in PvE, unless I know I will fight a lot of enemies that I can't be KD, like the Jotun or giant in general. With correct target and positioning, you can do crazy AoE damage and KD lock a whole mob.

I now reccomend axes.becausw triple chop is very usful. and u dont need to have any weapon mastery.using tactics and strength combined with axe mastery is the best damage possible

Axe kills everything (well... Not everything but ya get it ) They have awesome AoE attacks (yes hammer's got that too I know...) but still prefer the axe as it has a lil' bit more damage even if it lacks the knockdown. Especially love the axe in pve, as I can Death Charge or something into a group of mobs just a little before all the casters start nuking so I get their attention (which is dam difficult in GW as there is no "threat" thingys -_-) Then, just spam as hell hehe... Triple Chop - Cyclone Axe - Whirlwind Attack. Now, theres a NICE spike I tells ya. Especially if you have a monk with the Strength of Honor spell och whatever it's called... So you do loads more damage.
Though now to pvp..
As I totally suck in pvp in everything other than caster nuker or healing, I'm really not sure whats best for a warrior (as nothing works for me there *roll eyes*) BUT, from what I've seen, hammer's are devastating as hell just se a hammer guy bullying a monk with KD's... Ahh what an awesome feeling hehe. Sword can be usefull as it can apply some conditions (bleeding deap wound etc.) Sword has a stable damage output, (11-22 or whatever it is...) I can throw away some huge damage too, just yesterday a guy ganked me several times by using Dragon Slash + For Great Justice I think it's called... so he had about constant Dragon Slash for like 25 secs... And I played as caster there so I died faster than a warrior would have done
Anyway, to the final conclusion.
For PvE usage: I recommend axe, high aoe and single target damage, has got deap wound. Cannot come up with any cons really heh...
For PvP usage: Hammer, awesome anti-kite (which is very usefull in pvp) it has KD and great damage aswell. 1 con though: as it requires 2 hands, you lack a shield. But most of the times that 16 armor you lack will get compensated by that you wont take as much damage (now if you KD 'em)
All around purpose (and if you don't want to be a "one of a kind" (yes I know that axes have becom very popular recently) then go for sword. I has decent damage and a couple of defensive skills which can be life saving.
Well, thats all I have to say hope this helped anything.
Edit: The axe also looks very very badass so if you go for the "cool" factor: go axe.
